The new york times nol gave a prize to walter duranty, who lied about the ukraine famine. The paper refused to give it back because they didn't know where the actual prize was. A professor from columbia told them to do so and that's what happened. But i don't call that liberalism. I call that illiberalism, or regressive the regressive leftor whatever term. And one of the reasons for not giving it back is that they felt that to do so would be to acknowledge the truth of history.
