Aaron Carroll: A lot of fundraising advice is written by VCs. When you raise money, I think almost strangely people think about raising money when it's the first moment that they think they can. And so this whole kind of narrative around fundraising, especially series A fundraising, is designed to bring you into the front door of the VC as soon as possible.
