Kaelin Davenport: Galianus is remembered in later sources as the man who presided over the disintegration of the Roman Empire. He entrusted the east to Odinathus to control it for him, but his generals actually did their job very, very well. So you know, he certainly wasn't the best emperor that Rome ever produced. But we should give us some credit for some things as well.
