The Purge and Sinister

The director James DeMonico apparently the the idea for the purge came from a road radage incident where drunk driver cut them off nearly killed them. After it was over his wife turned to him and said it would be great if we could have one free murder a year. And then started working on the script went to Jason Blum who gave them three million bucks because he had this day with Universal and it was like a money ball. It's like a early 2000s Billy Bean type of movie.
