How to Find Your Passion for Art

Two years ago, I took over as director of exhibitions for the traveling exhibitions company, Curatorial in Los Angeles. We started to think, you know, what if we had our own collection? What if we built up a collection that we could use to create our own exhibitions? And then we would kind of, I hate to put it in these terms, but it's like we control the material in a sense. It's that that material is available to us and we don't have to worry about all the paperwork that goes along with borrowing from institutions. So that was the origin of the thing.
