The Importance of Personality in Contemporary Art
When an artist becomes super, super successful, it attracts the competition to say the least. Some of my artists are very unnerved by high prices or sudden price things. And in a way that can also, to use a weird word, sort of constipate them. It's almost like a paralysis. That can be weird. But other artists have got, I mean, all artists are different. You can't, you really can't, during their lives. Well, there are all sorts of strategies. We've seen so much, especially like two or three years ago, there was such a surge of art that was selling like secondary, ridiculous. Now now complete plumpet.
