The Story of Self-Making

I think that the kind of what our self-makers come down to is this realization explicit or implicit depending on the figure that reality is just perception. That like the field of human creativity is to shape things is just fundamentally what you can make people believe. And I think that there's versions of that that are more explicitly Nietzsche and others that are more kind of left postmodern coded. But fundamentally, there is a sense that like reality as something that is out there against which things can be measured like is this metaphysical statement true kind of break down.
