The Legal Connotation of Justification

Protestants see justification as a legal fiction where God declares you righteous, covers you with what Luther called the righteousness of Christ. Catholic theologians call it an alien righteousness because it's not yours. They're simply covered over its Christ righteousness. That's ridiculous because Christ righteousness is infinite.
