Nemotopine was originally studied because the thought was that it would help prevent vasespasm by relaxing that vessel, or keeping that vessel relaxed. And what was identified is that it actually didn't prevent vaso spasms at all. Patients on nemotipin had fewer cerebral mparks and had improved outcomes after subright non hemorrhage.
