At the very beginning of a project, you use your whole base model to collect as much business knowledge as you can. You then label maybe between roughly 20% of your data sets with these functions. This is when it's time to train the first machine learning model. But only at the very end, because otherwise, if you do too early in the process, you will create a bias for your own ignorance.
