Pam was born into a military family, and like most military families, they moved around a lot. One of Pam's earliest memories takes place in Ohio when she was five. The buses kept passing them, even though there was plenty of room. They went from tree to tree to get shade and rest. Then the bus would come and we'd go out and they wouldn't stop. Finally an empty bus stopped for them.
