Neandertols in Europe
It seems plausible that their ancestors crossed the straits of gibraltar when we consider all the evidence displayed during this podcast. Neandertolles had the ability to survive in the cold ice age conditions of europe. It is quite possible that it may have become homo antecessor, then homo hydelbagensis, and then homo neandertalensis. Of course, we don't really know enough to be able to wager our livelihoods on any of this. And maybe even have your own knowledge of discoveries that conflict with this. If you do, i should love to hear from you.
