What Is a Tough Ostomy?
A trach is a definitive surgical airway that bypasses the upper airways, the nasopharynx and the oropharynx. A tricky ostomy or as we will refer to as a trach in this episode is a way to deliver oxygen and ventilate more directly without having to go through the nasal or a faring and larynx like we typically do with endotracheal intubation.
