We're Always Telling Ourself Stories
We tell ourselves stories that we are not good enough. Find out what image a person wants to really carefully cultivate and you'll find out what hurts them the most. You couldn't hurt people by attacking their physical looks at Oxford, but you could zero in on their intellectual insecurity. It was a bit of a toxic environment where the sum total measure of your worth was what grade you got on your latest paper. This is all relevant because we're always telling ourselves stories - sometimes they don't match up with our reality. Anybody who has read Don Quixote and seen Starvente's as the endless perspectiveist will know this.
