We're going to start at the level of serotonin and ask questions like what does serotonin do and what is its importance in particularly the brain. And then we're going to move up from that level moving up to moving through the molecular level up to the cellular level, the systems level and finally at the cognitive level. We're going to try to understand how there is any connection between serotonin and depressed mood. Hopefully I think that that will serve to clarify how we might understand these connections. Not just in depression, although obviously that's the focus here, but also in other cases as well and maybe other conditions like anxiety or even cognition more generally and emotion more generally.
