The Importance of Honoring Security Standards
I think those changes would have to be enacted by Congress. And I think Congress has shown, certainly many members of Congress have shown, that they are loath to restrict their ability to do or to say things. So again, it really is going to be up to party leadership, both Republican, Democratic Party leadership, to be able to enforce the standards that they expect their members to uphold.
