The Problem With Grids for Primary Keys
There are some built in gotchas with that kind of system too, such as you have a model and you want to add this data to the database through this model. And the model doesn't have a primary key because there's no primary key created in the database yet. But oftentimes a solution there is depending on where you're making the requests from is just providing that identifier from the get go. So if it's some type of grid, I've moved to grids for primary keys instead of letting the database do it for me.
