Are Data Scientists Embedded Within Little Groups?

Data scientists feel like they might be more embedded within little groups. I think we've seen companies actually do both at the same time, even where sometimes they'll have a data science centre of excellence. One of the most important things is the data scientist is your understanding of the data you're analyzing and your familiarity with it. i would really prefer the person analyzing, you know, car supply chains, understand what goes into that.
