The Counterculture of Love

I think you kind of like touched on it when you were talking about romantic friendship and just like love as an art previously, because I guess the way that love is defined right now is very much in a romantic lens. And this other person is supposed to like complete you like your other half. So there's also that. Oh, one of the things you brought up that I thought was interesting and we have kind of touched on it a little bit, but proper loving as being counterculture. It seems almost like against the grain to see love as a sort of effortful act or to actually try to figure yourself out and try to love yourself before putting that sort of burden on another person.
