Is That Not a Step Back?
Last month a ten billion dollar investment was announced to capture the gas from three oil fields. Gas would have just been flared and wasted will now be turned into power. That may also reduce emissions, because if the process is more efficient than flaring tes, methine will be released. But we're still talking about burning o fossil fuel, which contributes to global warming. We know that we need to stop our reliance on fossil fuels as part of our solution to climate change.
