The most important thing is having a very, very clear plan. Warren Buffett once said, you want to know the way to do investing. Jack Bogle was brilliant at showing the long-term cost and the difference between 1%, 2% returns over years. How long are you investing? If you're start at 25 years old, you've got 60 years of investing. Think about that. This down year, as rare as it is, is not going to make a difference in a long, long period.
