We have about two to five million sweat pores that cover our body. There is another kind of sweat gland, and that's the one that appears in armpits at puberty. And its sweat is actually not watery or salty at all - it's very waxy. It's actually pretty similar to ear wax. When that sweat starts coming out anywhere where hair grows at puberty, bacteria living in your armpits are excreting metabolites which smell like 'bacteria poop'
