You don't really get to see an evil camera in action in this book. The look of all these monsters is really intentionally drawn from the original cover art from all the books which was done by Tim Jacobus. So if there's a weakness of this movie it is just that like wow we got to run from this big bug again and not dive into parts of goosebumps that are fun.
