The Importance of Being Curious About People

I never saw myself as a negotiator and in fact never thought I was a good negotiator because I wanted to connect so badly that I often would just say, okay, whatever you want as long as we're connected. So I'm not at all transactional in that way. It's sort of everything that leads up to it that I think is so much more interesting and so much more elegant. But I do think being curious and listening to people's responses makes for a great skill for a negotiator.
