I don't think that's the correct reading of how it will end. The most truthful ending might be just a continuation of that sad, hollow, pointless knife fight in the mud. We're really watching them pursue something that is bad for them and also meaningless. So we're not rooting for them to get that thing. I do think as finishing the episode with this is what Logan would have wanted. It was more my version of Jerry's final thought, not Jerry Kellman, Jerry Springer.
