How Did Benedict Arnold's Treason Affect the War?
After the battle of Saratoga, Benedict Arnold was never quite the same. He had already been injured at Quebec when a musket ball ricocheted and hit his left leg. His horse then collapsed on top of that shattering a bone of that leg. It would be four months before he could walk again. The Continental Congress had been slow to give Arnold the promotion he felt he deserved. And so he began to take a very different attitude.
