The British Digital Cooperative
The british digital co operative is a new model for promoting technological development in the public sector. The idea was to make technology more closely tied to end user uses, rather than relying on technologists who come down from the mountain with good news. It's an approach that borrows from some aspects of product design in the private sector. And i think this becomes incredibly important when you think about developing in the public interest. Too often we are given material technological resources from surveillance, from business and enterprise, a soft ware in the capitalist sector. We kind of try and re work it into something that we can make use of.
