The Importance of Welfare Reform in the Short Term

With an election this time next year, there isn't much time really to address the demand factor. The issue is a combination of equipping them with the ability to go to work. And equally importantly, educating employers into taking them. I would strongly urge the government to do the creation and or training of potential new UK workers. That will have a huge effect in the long term and take immigration out of the frontline of politics - which must be the long term aim.
