The Value of Qualitative Methods in Psychology

qualitative methods are less common in fields like psychology. But there's value too, to what i'm calling mixed methods, right of using quantitative methods. If we think about the scientist is not separate from the research, which can sometimes be at odds with a broader field of psychology. So even if you are doing a fully quantitative study, if you at least, you know, give participants the opportunity, for instance, before dep briefing, to tell you about their experience,. then you have the potential for something that you didn't think about before.
