A Brief History of the Sahara

When the sahara became a more welcoming place to live, after around 11 thousand 700 years ago, it presented an absolutely open set of landscapes. It's safe to assume that their expansion was rapid and that populations soared in relatively brief periods of time. The newly green sahara also home to one of the world's earliest, independent traditions of pottery making. That dotted wavy line tradition spread all over the place with the decorated pottery probably serving as prestige goods - maybe gifts between groups.
