Daniel Petrie Jr described himself as the mini Bruce Willis, even though he admitted in the book that he wasn't disciplined enough to take care of his body. The film shot for eight weeks in the Virginia area, and then went off to San Antonio in Texas for four days. It was a relatively modestly-costed film around that $10 million mark, but it still wasn't without one or two taxing sequences.
