Are You Attracted to Someone Who Likes You?
One study found that from any one person to another, they actually vary quite a bit in terms of who they find attractive. Another factor in attraction is self-esteem. The more often you're exposed to something, the more likely you are to like it. And I've definitely seen couples that like look identical. They look like they could be like brother and sister.
