Ross: The book that captured my attention was the Peaceable Kingdom in which he basically says that the stories that you live, the narrative that has shaped you makes your ethical decisions for you more than ethical reasoning. And I think this is what Ferdy and Nestig and were about. You listen to the person, find out where their theological their spiritual condition is, what shit storm they're living. And then you try to speak into it. That's why Ferdy never wrote a systematic theology as did his classmate and one time good friend, Robert Jensen.
