A lot of genes are expressed in the brain, which is a pretty expensive organ. Massive modularity argues that we have certain adaptations to solve particular issues that were reoccurring for our ancestors. The environment of evolutionary adaptiveness focuses on a period of time throughout human evolutionary history often linked to the Pleistocene. And I think it can be very useful and highlighting these evolutionary traits such as our preference for sugar and carbohydrates.
