The Siege of St. Elmo

Turquot reworked the siege of St. Elmo and ordered a new siege battery built parallel to it. The little fort was now under continuous bombardment from multiple angles. Hassan disembarked from his galley and rolled out his opulent tent very near Turquotres, among the precisely ordered ranks of the Ottoman camp. Even for Hassan, who had spent his whole life engaged in more and less horrifying acts of violence, things were getting out of hand. It had taken the Ottomans more than three weeks to reduce the tiny fort of St.Elmo.
