The Comparison Between Samuel and the Sons of Eli

Samuel Godal, he got big before the Lord. The only thing big about the sons of Eli was their sin. So when this sets up at least the beginning of this, this comparison and contrast between the faithless priest who were doing nothing but despised in the offerings of the Lord.
