Justin Murphy: Ezra Pound was an undisputed genius in the realm of language and literature, incredibly gifted. But his actual poetic accomplishments did not really live up to what I think he envisioned. He says that as Rapound had everything that would have been required and he was well poised to do it. And then towards the tail end of his life,. I do believe he kind of goes off the rails a bit. Most infamously, he goes to Mussolini's Italy, becomes rather enthralled with fascism, but does seem to side with Hitler at some point.
