Self knowledge of vows is nothing but knowledge of self. And therefore, what we do in recovery is meet the failure of self will. We don't set out on a course to change it because we're dominated by it. But we make a decision to turn our will and our life that's under the control of self at that time. Over to something greater than ourselves.
