Ancient Egyptians used Hippo Tusks to make magical amulets and wands. The goddess Toharit had a very important job protecting mums and newborn babies. Some ancient Egyptians were buried with their own Book of the Dead, which was like a cross between a passport to the afterlife and a map. But these books were very pricey, so only very rich Egyptians could afford them.
