Is the Yield Curve Inverting?
Inverted yield curve is when short term interest rates are higher than long term interest rates. People look at that as a signal of where the market might go, but sometimes it doesn't and there isn't a recession. The last time the yield curve inverted was in 20 18, 20 19,. And it was not a very good signal then, right? The market went on a tear, unless you count the pendemic, which had nothing to do with the inverting. So i don't like it as a signal. Other signals, i think are a little bit more valuable.
