The Soviet Union and the Coal Miners
Coal miners were brought to churnoble by the soviet government. They worked on a nuclear power plant that was about to melt down. The union ordered them to dig a tunnel and cool it with liquid nitrogen, but they didn't. One in four coal miners died of cancer or radiation after working at the plant.
