Conservative states have picked up what was originally a liberal off dout movement and turned it into a parents rights movement, so they can get out of the tests. Utah was one of the first sates to do this. But then in the liberal states, you can have a culture worr about wokebath um, and then close the testing down. Now both sides, in their instrumentalitation of the discourse, get the discourse benefit, but the institution also gets spared the fact that it's obviously ling on every possible metric.
