The Home Invasion on Halloween

Two years ago he was driving home late from work on Halloween of all nights. He and his friends went to one last house up the driveway before they heard a thud, like someone had kicked a couch or something. They didn't push the door open but instead called out "Hello" The next thing they knew there was blood on the carpet and an EMT with a sheet over their face.
