Bringing Everyone on Board, I Love Your Perspective

Carol Costello: Culture is almost always based on one of two things, liation or status. When we bring in a group of people who get different sorts of access and recognition, it changes the culture. Some people from the old guard will want the status and affiliation that is going to folks who are new,. And some people may choose to leave. It's not surprising that people, even people who mean well, push back on that. Instead, what we have the chance to do is shine a light on people who are doing the things we done by rewarding new systems. Because that is how culture changes when we celebrate the culture we seek to build.
