The Importance of Base and Build
Paul Newsom: I don't think that you shouldn't do hard intervals just because you're base building. He says the concepts of base and build, they are very arbitrary concepts. And yeah, they aren't really related in any way to training adaptations. Think more about what sort of adaptations you're after, rather than what training phase you're in.
