Jeff Yang: I was delighted to learn that you spent some time in the Nashville area and teaching at Belmont.Yang: It was after graduate school, so it was that sort of young time in life where you're figuring things out. He says he had an epiphany when a professor said girls who look like you aren't supposed to be smart. Yang: "I got to figure it out right away"
