The Effect of Economic Desperation on Fertility Rates
The fertility rate or the number of children that women have has been going down. Is that a sign of economic desperation or is that a sign that actually women are choosing differently and have the ability to control their biology? Jill: I think it's both. Women generally say at various age stages that they want roughly two children. We're not seeing that play out, particularly among millennial women, where it kind of record low fertility rates.
