The Fed Holding Off Meeting on Rates
The main reason for the Fed holding off this meeting is to see what the effects of the prior rate hikes will be and how they play out. Tom Zoellner: I've never seen America love their mortgage like they do right now. The bite of these higher rates is gaining traction almost every day, even if you look into a lot of talk about how home sales are down in America. If we get close to hitting that point and if the Fed stops raising rates, that's going to be an important signal for investors.
