The Antidote to Thomistic Realism

Thomistic Realism is an antidote to two influential currents in contemporary thought, namely pragmatism and nominalism. Pragmatism claims that the schemes we construct are justified by how well they work in our dealings with the world. Nominalism claims that there is no mind-independent order of things. These attitudes have seeped into Western culture at a level of popular imagination.
