The Paultech EQ P1A Is a No Loss Passive Equalizer
The Paultech EQ P1A can be heard on literally thousands of recordings made over the past six years. It is a full passive three, meaning it takes up three rack units and needs an additional amplifier circuit to restore the signal level that is reduced when an audio signal is fed into the unit. Many engineers have found the audio can be enhanced simply by passing the signal through the Paltec with the equalizer switched out. The high frequency section features a boost peaking EQ and offers seven center frequencies at 3K, 4K, 5K, 8K, 10K, 12K and 16K again.
